February 2013 - Return your cans and bottles to Don's Redemption Center
A new way to help the Gingerbread House has been set up with Don's Redemption Center in
Norway. It's easy! Take your recyclable cans and bottles to Don's and tell him to give the proceeds
to the Gingerbread House. Every bit helps however small, and we appreciate your participation in
this new effort to raise more funds for repairing the roof.
January 2013 - Many Thanks
The Friends of the Gingerbread House gratefully acknowledges the donations made to the Annual Fund during the current fund raising campaign. Thanks very much to all who have contributed. Your support will help us to repair and replace the roof on the Gingerbread House during this calendar year.
We look forward to hearing from others who would like to support the rehabilitation of this important historic structure on Norway's Main Street. There is a donate button on this website under the heading above "How You Can Help." Or send contributions to the Friends of the Gingerbread House, P.O. Box 525, Norway, ME 04268. We appreciate any and all help.

October 2012
Volunteers Dick Joyall (right) and Otis Brown (left) are shown setting up materials and equipment to enclose the open end of the basement level of the Gingerbread House in Norway. On a sunny day in late September Dick and Otis spent a few hours to make sure that Norway’s landmark structure will be prepared for the coming winter. Although it is not all visually evident, progress continues on the rehabilitation of the Gingerbread House. Soon all the wires will be redirected so that the new driveway can be excavated, and soon bids will be sought for replacing the shingles on the roof.

Scott Roberts from Norway recently completed this granite retaining wall. Using
the old granite foundation pieces that were left onsite, this wall creates an area for
the new driveway.
The brick sheathing for the concrete foundation was also completed in August by Randy Wells from Turner.
